This restaurant classic is tender chicken in a silky tomato-butter sauce—rich, mildly spiced, and totally comforting.

Ingredients (Serves 4 | Prep: 15 min + marinate | Cook: 30 min)

  • 1 lb chicken thighs, cubed

  • ½ cup yogurt

  • 2 Tbsp ghee

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1-inch ginger

  • 1 cup tomato puree

  • 1 tsp each: garam masala, cumin, coriander

  • ½ tsp chili powder

  • ½ cup cream or coconut milk

  • Salt


Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in yogurt + half spices 30 min.

  2. Sauté onion, garlic, ginger in ghee.

  3. Add tomato and remaining spices; cook soft.

  4. Stir in cream and chicken; simmer 20 min.


Pro Tips

  • Finish with fresh cilantro.
