Vegetable Biryani (Aromatic Spiced Rice)

Fragrant layered rice with colorful veggies—festive yet simple enough for everyday.


Ingredients (Serves 4 | Prep: 15 min | Cook: 30 min)

  • 1 ½ cups basmati rice

  • 2 Tbsp ghee

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • Garlic, ginger

  • Mixed veggies (peas, carrots, beans)

  • Tomato

  • 2 tsp biryani masala

  • Turmeric, chili

  • 3 cups broth

  • Cilantro, mint


Instructions

  1. Sauté onion, garlic, ginger in ghee.

  2. Add veggies, tomato, spices.

  3. Stir in rice and broth.

  4. Cover and simmer 20 min; fluff.


Pro Tips

  • Layer with fried onions for extra crunch.
