Crunchy, tangy Oaxacan street snack—grasshoppers seasoned with lime and chili. Surprisingly addictive and protein-packed!

Ingredients (Serves 4 as snack | Prep: 5 min | Cook: 10 min)

  • 1 cup cleaned chapulines (grasshoppers, from specialty markets)

  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil or ghee

  • 2 limes, juiced

  • Chili powder or tajín

  • Garlic powder, salt


Instructions

  1. Heat oil in pan.

  2. Add chapulines; stir-fry 5–8 min until crisp.

  3. Remove from heat; toss with lime juice and spices.


Pro Tips

  • Start small if new—they taste like crispy shrimp!
